Gang Of Vehicle Thieves Busted, Eight Cars Recovered

Swung in action again today the SAS Nagar police have busted a gang of car thieves with the arrest of three members and recovered eight cars and one scooter.During the press conference, SSP Harcharan Singh Bhullar stated that the SAS Nagar Police busted the car thieves gang and recovered One Toyota Liva, 2 Swift Dzire, 2 Verna, 1 Innova, 1 Swift VDI, 1 Alto and 1 Mystero Scooter from them. Police also confiscated equipments which were used to stole vehicles, and Registration Certificates of 9 vehicles from them. Divulging more, he said that Sachpal R/o, House No. 14 T12, PGI informed the Sohana police that his Swift Dzire Car (CH-01-AX-4349) was stolen on March 18, 2019 from Mystic Arch Palace Sector 109, Village Raipur Kalan (near Banur-Landra Road). A case was registered in the Sohna Police Station under Section 379 of the Indian Penal Code on the statement of Sachpal.Mr. Bhullar further said that he constituted a team comprised SP (Investigation) Mohali Mr. Varun Sharma, DSP (Investigation) Mohali Mr. Gurdev Singh Dhaliwal and Incharge CIA Staff Inspector Mr. Satwant Singh Sidhu to crack the case. Under the guidance of this team Assistant Sub Inspector Gurpartap Singh conducted a search operation, in which equipments used to unlock the vehicles were recovered from a car. 

Three accused were taken into custody in this regard.SSP said that these accused identified as Surjeet Singh (46) R/o House No. S/70, Street Number 8, Saroop Nagar, Police Station Palswa Deri New Delhi, Gursewak Singh alias Sewak (48) R/o House No. 19/472 Stehri Khurd, Police Station Model Town, Hoshiarpur and Baljinder Singh alias Binda (29) R/o Village Bhura Kona, Police Station Khemaran, District Tarn Taran.SSP further said that these accused confessed that they had stole 8 cars and a Maestro Scooter during the initial interrogation. Police also recovered equipments used to steal vehicles, number plates, Sensors of vehicle keys, Cutter machine, Grander, lock Code Machine, Drill Machine and other items besides RCs and ACMs. He said that the accused admitted that they purchased the total loss vehicles from insurance companies and they sold stolen vehicles.on the basis of RCs and other documents of these vehicles.Mr. Bhullar further said that Surjeet Singh is the main accused and seven cases has registered against him in different Police Stations and he is on bail in many cases. He is also the co accused in drug cases, registered against Jagdish Bhola and was also lodged in prison with him. He said that the accused have been produced in court and police obtained the three days remand of them.
