Secretary Regional Transport Authority (RTA) Dr. Nayan Jassal advocated the need of imparting skill education to the girls for empowering them to become an active partner in socio-economic growth of the country.Interacting with the students during valedictory function organized here at the RUDSET Institute today, the Secretary RTA said that skill education was the need of the hour to ensure that girls could earn their livelihood with dignity and pride. She said that besides immensely benefitting the girls it would accelerate the pace of development and growth in the country and the state. Dr. Jassal said that besides opening job opportunities for the girls the skill training would open new vistas of self employment for them.Secretary RTA emphasized those only women empowerment could pave the way for balanced social growth in India. She said that it is encouraging factor for our country that Women of Indian origin were playing pivotal role on International arena be it in the fields of Politics, Business and space science or others. Dr. Jassal appealed the girls to avail maximum benefit of such courses to transform their destiny.Earlier, the Director of institute Mr Jagdish Kumar and District Guidance Counselor Mr Surjeet Lal welcomed the Chief guest. They also apprised him about the activities carried out by the institute to provide technical education to youth.
