The Punjab Public Relations Officers Association today gave warm farewell party held here at Punjab Bhawan, Sector-3 in the honour of the District Public Relations Officer Fatehgarh Sahib and Vice President of the association Mr. Kuljit Singh and Assistant Public Relations Officer (APRO) Mrs. Madhu Sharma on the occasion of their superannuation. The Secretary of the Information and Public Relations Department Mr. Gurkirat Kirpal Singh and the Director of the Department Mrs. Anindita Mitra felicitated both the officers. It is worth noting that Mr. Kuljit Singh served the department for 32 while Mrs. Madhu Sharma served for 39 years.On the occasion, Secretary, Mr. Gurkirat Kirpal Singh appreciated the services rendered by both the officers. He said that it is a matter of pride for any government employee to retire with honour and also said that the department would always remember the valuable services rendered by these two officers. He also said that the retiring officers would remain a part of the PR family.The Director Mrs. Anindita Mitra wished both the officers all the best in their every future endeavour and said that it is a matter of pride that thye have spent more than half of their life serving the department with dedication and devotion.
The Chairman of the Punjab Public Relations Officers Association Dr. Senu Duggal (Additional Director, Information and Public Relations) and Vice Chairman Dr. Opinder Singh Lamba (Additional Director) in their address said that the selfless, legendary and honest service rendered by both the officers would always remain a source of inspiration for the department.The Secretary of the Association and the District Public Relations Officer, Mohali Mr. Surjit Singh Saini in his address remembered with fondness the memories shared with Mr. Kuljit Singh since both of them had joined the department together. The Deputy Director Mr. Harjit Singh Grewal also wished well for both the officers. The President of the association Mr. Navdeep Singh Gill (PRO) conducted the proceedings and wishing well both the officers said that the association would continue to utilize their vast experience.Among others present on the occasion included Deputy Director Mr. K.L. Rattu, Senior Vice President of the association Mr. Prabhdeep Singh Nathowal, Secretary General Mrs. Shikha Nehra, General Secretary Mr. Iqbal Singh Brar, Joint Director Mr. Harmeet Singh Dhillon, Press Secretary Mr. Preet Kanwal Singh, Finance Secretary Mr. Kultar Singh Mianpuri, Executive Members Mr. Ishwinder Singh Grewal, Dr. Sarbjit Singh Kangniwal, Mr. Bhupinder Singh Brar, Dr. Kuljit Singh Mianpuri, Mr. Inderjit Singh and all the PROs as well as the APROs of the department.
