DDC reviews SBM progress in Reasi

District Development Commissioner Reasi Prasanna Ramaswamy G today chaired a meeting to review the progress achieved under centrally-sponsored "Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM)" in the district.ADDC Reasi Ramesh Chander, ACD Reasi M Y Malik, CPO Reasi HL Sharma, DPO Reasi, AD Planning and all BDOs were present in the meeting.The meeting discussed block-wise progress made under SBM till date. It was informed that 3 blocks and 90 villages have been declared ODF, while 80%households have been covered under ODF so far, and rest will be covered soon.DDC emphasized on the sustainability of ODF campaign for which he stressed on collective and coordinated efforts to ensure its success.The DDC directed all the BDOs to work in mission mode and complete their due assignments with a great sense of responsibility and team spirit so that all targets fixed for this district by the administrative department are completed in time bound manner.Meanwhile, he also asked all to organize the awareness programmes to sensitize the general public especially students regarding the importance of cleanliness and hygiene.The DDC stressed upon all the officers to ensure the proper cleanliness within and outside their office premises so that a positive sign goes to the general public.
