District Development Commissioner Kishtwar, Angrez Singh Rana reviewed the arrangements for celebration of Independence Day 2018, here today.During the meeting it was decided that the main function of Independence Day will be held at the Parade Ground where the VIP shall unfurl the National Flag and take salute at the March Past. Imam Din, ADDC Kishtwar was designated as Nodal Officer for monitoring all the necessary arrangements regarding the Independence day celebrations.DC exhorted upon the concerned agencies to ensure that all necessary arrangements are put in place well in time for smooth and successful celebration of national event.It was decided that as per the past practice the Independence Day celebrations shall start with the playing of Shenai Vadan. After the flag hoisting and parade ceremony, cultural items on patriotic and national themes shall be presented by the students of various government and private schools.Meanwhile, various committees were constituted so as ensure the successful completion of the programme.The meeting was attended by ADDC, ACR, ACD, CMO, DPO, DYSSO, Dy.SP (Hqs), officers from Army, CISF, CRPF, NHPC, AFCONS, Principals and other district officers.
