29 Years Old Accused Arrested In Rape Case Of 8 Years Old

The 29 years old accused, who had raped 8 years of girl on June 27, 2018, has been arrested today.  Identified as Vicky son of Shankar the accused is a resident of Gali No 5 Hardev Nagar Bathinda. Giving this information here today the IG Bathinda Mr Mohammad Faiz Farooqui, DC Bathinda Mr Diprava Lakra and SSP Bathinda Mr Naveen Singla stated that soon after the incidence five teams were formed under SP Bathinda Gurmeet Singh and Gurpreet Singh DSP Bathinda. The teams included SHO thermal Police Station, in charge CIA and other officers.During investigation police took photographs of around 500 males living in and around the area of incidence were taken. Photographs of those people were taken whose description matched with that the child had given to police. 

All the photographs were then showed to the child who identified accused Vicky son of Shankar resident of street no 5 Hardev Nagar Bathinda.IG Bathinda Mr Farooqui stated that he accused is a native of Sees Ki Nangla, Sikandrao police station Hathras junction, district Aligarh, state Uttar Pradesh. During investigation the accused stated that his wife had died almost one-and-a-half years ago. He was making a living by selling brooms, mops etc in Bathinda city.On the day of incidence on June 27, 2018, he had gone for ablutions towards ash dyke of NFL plant at around 5 pm. There he found the child alone and targeted her. Police have also recovered rubber hair band of the child from place of incidence.Answering a media query Mr Farooqui stated that very soon further proceedings in case will be done.
