Officer among 4 BSF personnel killed in Pakistan army firing

At least 4 Border Security Forces personnel including an officer were killed and 5 others injured, some of them critically when Pakistan Army resorted to shelling and firing along Line of Control in Jammu region.An official said that Pakistan yet again violated ceasefire in Ramgarh sector of samba district of Jammu region."Pakistan Rangers targeted civilian area and BSF posts with heavy firing and mortar shelling. Four BSF jawans were killed while five others injured," he said adding that BSF also retaliated with same calibre fire."In Ramgarh Jammu sector of IB , 4 BSF personnel were martyred including one Asstt Commandant & 5 injured due to firing from across. Our heart goes to those who lost their dear ones," Tweeted Jammu Kashmir Police Chief SP Vaid.Among the deceased, one is Assistant Commandant Jatinder Singh.Earlier, Pakistan alleged that Indian soldiers targeted a civilian and killed him in a sniper shot when he was grazing cattle, reported Dawn News.Pertinently, on May 29, the Directors General of Military Operations of India and Pakistan had established a special hotline contact and agreed to undertake sincere measures to improve the existing situation, ensuring peace and avoidance of hardships to the civilians along the LoC and Working Boundary.The officers had also agreed to fully implement the ceasefire understanding of 2003 in letter and in spirit forthwith and to ensure that henceforth the ceasefire will not be violated by both sides.
