Senior Congress MLA from Inderwal and a member of a campaign committee, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori today started door to door campaign for Congress candidate from Udhampur-Kathua parliament seat, Ghulam Nabi Azad and addressed 15 public meetings at Agral, Dada, Sarthal, Karool, Moharwari, Ladsa, Ghan, Angara, Bhagran, Pura, Chandali, Cheryana, Kandoth and Hasti. While addressing Saroori said “MGNREGA payment is delayed due to non-release of payment as state earmarked Rs 950 crores to which state got only Rs 500 crores from centre government, he added that remaining Rs 450 crores will be released shortly in this month only. Nevertheless, the remaining amount hasn’t released as a consequence of Management Information System (MIC) not being uploaded.

“Congress Party has ensured over all development in the State and the country, whether it is power sector, education, health, rural development, road connectivity or water supply. On the basis of development ensured in the country, the Congress is now going to the people for seeking votes. He claimed that UPA-III would come to power again as UPA-II had emerged stronger than UPA-I on the basis of votes secured”, Saroori added.Saroori said Azad has worked day and night and ensured the overall development towards J&K particularly Udhampur constituency both as chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir and the Union minister. His (Azad) historical decisions ranging from creation of eight new districts including Kishtwar, implementation of Roshni Act, construction of Yatri Niwas, Haj House, Tulip Garden, New Assembly Complex, enactment of stringent Anti Corruption Laws etc are enough to sustain the claims that Azad possess a competent and visionary foresight.

He said that as Union Health Minister Mr. Azad recently sanctioned five new Medical Colleges for the State which will definitely lead the State towards achieving self reliance in Health sector. The people of Udhampur parliament constituency are lucky that such a strong Leader of Congress is going to contest from their Lok Sabha Constituency and will surely made him victorious with huge margin.Among prominent Mohammad Aslam Saroori, Kailash Chander, Subash Chander, Sher Singh, Rakesh Kumar, Bashir Ahmed, Ram Bhagat, Pandit Somi Raj, Master Saroop, Mohan lal, Basant Raj, Thakar Lal, Master Jagdish, Varinder Singh, Brij Lal, Master Shib Nath, Surinder Singh Baloria, Babu, Thakur Lal Devali, people in large were present on the occasions.
