Jammu and Kashmir Teachers’ Forum organized a function to felicitate the Director School Education Jammu, Ravinder Singh ahead of his retirement next month. Minister for Education, Syed Mohammad Altaf Burkhari was Chief Guest at the function.Speaking at the function, the Minister hailed the services rendered by the retiring officer during his stint as Director School Education, Jammu. Listing the measures taken by education Ministry to revamp the existing education system, he said all the officers has worked and is working as a team to implement the reforms for raising the standard of school education in the state. The Minister reiterated the commitment of the government to effectively implement a road map to meet the infrastructure and staff requirements in the schools   across the state.He said to achieve the goals the department has to work with a team spirit and rope in the parents in the process. He stressed on the teachers to own the schools and fully engage with children to groom them into brilliant students. He said government schools have best teachers and they are the first stakeholders when it comes to shaping the future of our young generation.Speaking on the occasion, DSE, Jammu thanked the Minister for reposing his faith in him while assigning the responsibility of director education. He also hailed the organizers for their gesture.
