IT Minister presents AADHAR registration tools to Education Minister

Information & Technology Minister  Ram Lal Markanda provided 100 Aadhar registration tools to Education Minister Shri Suresh Bhardwaj, here today. These tools would be utilized to provide the aadhar registration facility for students in 100 schools of the State.Shri Markanda said that biometric updation of details of 5 and 15 years children in schools will be conducted through these tools. he said that modern state data centre has been set up to host e-governance projects of various departments. he said that state wide network has also been set up to connect 2240 government offices. There were 2719 common service centre functioning in the state also known as 'lok mitra kender'. Under 'Bharat Net Project' of Government of India, high speed internet facility would be provided at panchayat level through optical fiber network.he said that tenders will be invited through e-procurement portal to bring transparency in government controlled procurement. Under 'Pradhan Mantri Gramin Digital Saksharta Abhiyan (PMGDISHA)', one member of every family will be provided digital education. Persons having age of more than 70 years will be provided concession in Aadhar certification to avail any government scheme in the State.Director of IT department Shri Rohan Chand Thakur said that there was 105 percent Aadhar registration in the State.
