Expressing grief and sorrow over loss of lives in Lethpora Pulwama encounter AIP Supremo and MLA Langate Er. Rasheed has urged Indian PM Narendra Modi to listen to “Mann Ki Baat” of the mothers of the deceased soldiers. In a statement issued today Er. Rasheed said “It is easy for anyone to glorify the killings and try to show patriotism but the best people to judge the real impact of the killings are the mothers and other family members, who are forced to live with the permanent pain till their last breath. For every mother her son is neither a soldier nor a militant but only her son and nothing beyond that.Unfortunately while for TV channels and others at the helm of affairs it has become more of a tradition and a fashion, than anything else, to glorify the killings but for the real victims of violence it becomes intolerable pain which they are not even in a position to express. In fact the true feelings of families of deceased get buried under the emotions and vicious atmosphere created by those who just add fuel to the fire sitting in their cozy rooms”.

Er. Rasheed alleged that Prime Minister of India being at the helm of affairs has to own the responsibility of every killing, whosoever gets killed, for the reason that it is New Delhi’s arrogance, ego and unrealistic approach that has been delaying the resolution of J&K dispute. While Modi talks much during his “Mann ki Baat”, it is high time for him to listen to “Mann ki baat” of those five mothers who lost their beloved ones at Lethpora Pulwama. Prime Minister Modi can create a history by taking a lead and resolving Kashmir dispute to ensure that mothers don’t receive coffins of their sons anymore”. Er. Rasheed added that the Pulwama encounter has yet again ridiculed tall claims of security agencies and political establishment about normalcy returning to the state and said that Mehbooba Mufti rather expressing concern over such incidents should collect the courage and advocate for resolution of Kashmir dispute rather diluting the real issue.  (PTK)
