The time period for cash less health benefit to needy persons given under Bhagat Puran Singh Health Insurance Scheme has been extended upto March 31, 2018.Giving this information the MLA Dera Baba Nanak Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa stated that beneficiaries under this scheme get benefit of cashless health insurance up to Rs 50,000. They also get Rs 5 lakhs each for accidental death or disability due to any kind of accident.Mr. Randhawa said that the benefits received under the Bhagat Puran Singh Health Insurance Scheme by the government were earlier till October 31, 2017, which has now been extended to March 31, 2018. He said that under this scheme, only those beneficiaries who have cards issued will get the benefit of this important scheme. He said that with this card, the beneficiary can get cashless treatment of up to Rs 50000 annually from the empanelled hospitals. MLA said that the beneficiary can get more information from website www.bpssby.com and toll free number 104.
