The Committee on Petitions of Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly today met under the chairmanship of MLA Ch. Sukhnandan Kumar and reviewed the petitions lying pending before the Committee.The Committee discussed and examined the petition given by the President AYUSH Doctors Association Kashmir (ADAK) seeking intervention of the Committee to look into the functioning of ISM Department.Secretary, (Tech) Health and Medical Education, Dr Abdul Kabir Dar, Additional Secretary H&ME KS Chib and Special Secretary Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, AR Fayaz briefed the Committee about the action taken on the queries raised by the Committee regarding the petition.Legislators, Mumtaz Ahmad Khan, RS Pathania, Gulzar Ahmad Wani and Ishfaq Ahmad Sheikh attended the meeting and gave their valuable suggestions regarding early settlement of the petition.

The Committee also examined the petition given by Pramod Sharma regarding regularization of 21 casual laborers working in Agriculture Department.Secretary, Agriculture, Leena Padha, Director Agriculture, Jammu, H.K Razdan and Law officer, K.A Malik briefed the Committee about the status of the regularization process of petitioners and its legal aspects.Expressing dissatisfaction over the replies given by the concerned department, the Committee asked the department to come up with full preparation on the queries of the committee in its next meeting so that it can give its final decision on the petitions.Secretary, Legislative Assembly (LA), M.R Singh, Additional Secretary LA, Naseem Jaan, Deputy Secretary, LA, Abdul Qayoom Mir, besides senior officers of concerned department and Assembly Secretariat were also present in the meeting.
