Indo Global Group of Colleges organized a National Level Faculty Development Program on Free Open Source Software’s in collaboration with Spoken Tutorial, IIT Bombay.  More than 200 faculties from various colleges in the field of Architecture, Engineering, Management, and Education participated.  Chief Guest & Invited speaker of the event was Shyama Iyer, National Head, IIT Bombay, Spoken Tutorial Project. Special Guest, Outreach Officer, IIT Bombay Tanvir Singh was Special Guest at the moment.Chief Guest Shyama Iyer interacted with all faculties and explained the importance of open source software’s, its scope, applications in various domains, academics & research.  She appreciated the efforts of faculty and students of Indo Global Colleges towards usage of FOSS (Free & Open Source Software) by all departments of engineering, sciences and management.   Indo Global Colleges is already one of the leading FOSS Centre of IIT Bombay in this region. Vanita Rani, Namisha Sharma, Sukhwinder Singh faculty members of Indo Global Colleges also received award from IIT Bombay – Spoken Tutorial towards performing FOSS activities, coordination, training and certifications on free open source software’s at Indo Global Colleges. Chairman Indo Global Sukhdev Singla said at the moment that   today is the time for survival of the fittest. Such programs are extremely important for up keeping the knowledge of the teachers and making them more of more capable for teaching their students effectively.
