Minister for Forests, Ecology and Environment Choudhary Lal Singh today conducted extensive tour of Lower Praya, Batara Ghagrore, Plahi, Plakh, Gha, Rehan and adjoining villages of Basholi constituency and took stock of ongoing development works besides assessing public grievances.During the tour, the Minister kick started various development works being executed with an estimated cost of Rs. 25 lakh bynder Rural Development Department.Director Social Forestry Ashwani Gupta, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Sanjay Gupta, Assistant Commissioner Rural Development Department, Rajiv Khajuria besides other senior officers of RDD, PDD and R&B accompanied the Minister.Addressing on the occasion, the Minister said that Government’s first and foremost priority is to make provision of better basic amenities in every nook and corner of the state and areas like Basohli are receiving focused attention on this account. He said there is no constraint of funds under PHE, RDD, R&B, PDD, Education and Health sectors. Lal Singh also visited the sites of ongoing developing works in interiors of Basholi constituency where some deputations met him and projected their issues seeking an early redressal of the same.

The Minister resolved several issues on the spot and asked the officers to look into other matters for an early redressal.Lal Singh said that road connectivity to the far-off areas of the Basholi constituency under PMGSY is the top priority of the present government adding that this facility would provide inter-district and intra region trade and improving the socio-economic condition of the weaker sections of the society of the State.The Minister said that several flagship programmes have been launched by the State and Centre Governments in the State but need is to ensure their proper implementation on ground. He said administration has been directed to meet the fixed targets in a time bound manner and utilize the earmarked funds for current fiscal in full.Referring to the development of Basholi constituency, the Minister said work on various developmental projects is in full swing. He said with the completion of these projects is definitely going to change socio-economic condition of the people of the area "he added.Earlier, the Minister inaugurated Sanituary Complex at Saman in Basholi town.Later, Choudhary Lal Singh planted plants at Purthoo road.
