Minister of State for Health and Medical Education, Housing and Urban Development, Asiea Naqash today, while presenting a vote of thanks to all those who attended the Real Estate and Infrastructure Investors’ Summit 2017 at Mumbai, emphasized on working together for creating a sustainable development.The Minister said that it was an honor to attend the conclave which had brought together stakeholders of real estate and infrastructure not just from India but outside too, enabling a dialogue and discussion on finding solutions and showcasing promising growth of the Indian Real Estate and Infrastructure sector to Investors.She said that the discussions held during the summit will change the lives of millions across the rural and urban areas of India.The Minister further added that there is a housing infrastructural defect in India today and summits like this will help in overcoming that.Naqash remarked that efforts should be made to resist the temptation of constructing a map of “Developed India” from the standpoint of the “what would lure the outsiders tourists. She said infrastructure should be built in such a way that it is accessible and beneficial to both.For building more cities with investors from across the globe, there is a need to have a private sector initiative, she urged. She said that this shall include shared spaces; places for formal and informal education; the economic infrastructure; the social infrastructure for community quality of life especially with reference to women, children and elders-as places for family outings, places for creative expression through arts, theatre, literature, sports, retreats challenged people; historic houses; public lavatories with improved sanitation, clean drinking water.In order to create best infrastructural marvels, the Minister said that an exchange of ideas, and learning innovations from each other, is an important component.The Minister said that there is primarily need on real funding in Real Estate investment, Private Equity, and Infrastructure Investment to dream of a Developed India but also of sustainable development.
