A meeting of the Petition Committee of Legislative Assembly was held here today under the Chairmanship of MLA, Choudhary Sukhnandan Kumar to discuss the pending petitions before the Committee.Legislator, R S Pathania, Gulzar Ahmed Wani, Mumtaz Ahmed Khan and Anjum Fazili also attended the meeting.The Committee discussed the Petition of Mohammad Sultan Reshi and Wali Mohammad Reshi sons of Samad Reshi of Takiya Sangreshi, Srinagar, regarding alleged fraudulent sale of their land.After the threadbare discussions, the Chairman directed the Additional Commissioner Kashmir to initiate the process of demarcation of the said land measuring 2.12 kanals belonging to Mohammad Sultan Reshi and 1.14 kanals belonging to Wali Mohammad Reshi and submit the demarcation report to the Committee within two weeks.Additional Commissioner Kashmir, Special Secretary Revenue Department also briefed the Committee about the petition and action taken by the Revenue Department and factual position of the petition.The Committee asked the Revenue Department to submit its demarcation report regarding the petitioned land with complete legal position so that the Committee will decided the necessary action to be taken on the petition.The Committee members also gave their suggestions regarding the early disposal of the petition.Secretary, Legislative Assembly, M R Singh, Special Secretary Legislative Assembly, Naseem Jan, ADC Srinagar, Purnima Mittal besides other senior officers of Revenue and Assembly Secretariat were also present on the occasion.
