Rajouri admin conducts Public Service Delivery Camps

2763 villagers benefited by providing vital services

In order to provide services to the people at their doorsteps, District Administration organized 5 major Public Service Delivery Camps and medical camps. The camps were held at Khargala (Kalakote), Gurah Top (Rajouri), Lamberi (Nowshera), Khah (Koteranka) and Dodason Bala (Thanamadi) where 2763 certificates were provided on the spot.During the camp, the services were provided by the Health and Revenue Departments. In addition, 2128 individuals were made aware about various Centrally Sponsored Schemes, Flagship Programmes and Beneficiary Oriented Schemes.

Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary chaired the camp at remote village Khargala in Kalakote while camps at Gurah Top, Khah Dodason Bala and Lamberi were headed by Assistant Commissioner Revenue Paramjeet Singh and SDMs Kartar Singh, Afzal Mirza and Harbans Lal respectively. District and sectoral officers of different departments also attended the camps.

Senior functionaries of Horticulture, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Social Welfare, Food & Civil Supplies, Legal Metrology, Sericulture and other departments held interactions with general public and responded to their queries. Plan for implementation of various schemes in remote and far flung areas was discussed with participants and representatives.  A large number of people participated in the camps and availed the services being provided. On the spot grievances were also registered and forwarded to the concerned department. Meanwhile about 2763 individuals were made aware about various schemes of different departments by concerned officers. They were also informed about the schedule of special drives to be held to enroll the youth in the age group of 18-24 besides dates of special camp to be organized at polling booths.

Revenue Services provided include PRCs 464, RBA/ALC Certificates 136, Caste Certificates 328, Revenue Extracts 300, Mutations 53, Income Certificates 82, Character Certificates 23 and 146 other miscellaneous services.The Health related services availed by participants include Disability Certificates 17, Medical illness and Fitness Certificates 64, Old Age Certificate 78, Widow Certificate 10 besides Medical Check-up of 950 persons.The Deputy Commissioner addressed the issues related to Education, Sports, Power supply and water supply, improvement of roads, pensions, Aadhar and other demands. A number of schools were finalized to be taken up for upgradation of infrastructure.Dr. Shahid asked the general public to be a part of this mass movement initiated by district administration for public service delivery under which 13 such camps have been conducted in far off areas and more than 7000 certificates have been issued so far.
