Chairman J&K Legislative Council, Haji Anayat Ali lauded the All India Radio Kargil for their uninterrupted services in remote areas in keeping masses updated and connected with outer world.The Chairman was addressing during a Plantation Drive organized by India Radio Kargil at Khurbathang campus.Mr. Anayat Ali said that AIR Kargil should switch over to other modern modes like Live Streaming, developing and Android Radio to cater to the people from all walks of like.He said the matter for constructing Programme Generating Facility to start DD Kargil has been taken up with the Union Ministry of Information Broadcasting . Speaking on the occasion, DDG AIR Kargil Mukesh Kumar told that keeping in view the fragile topography and environment in Ladakh AIR plantation have been done in various sub stations.Mr. Kumar informed the chairmen that 400 fruit plants including 200 Hybrid Apple and 200 Apricot saplings has been planted at different places.Additional Deputy Commissioner Kargil Kacho Turab Shah, Programme Head AIR Kargil Sonam Angchuk and Staff staff members of AIR Kargil were also present on the occasion.
