MNC Caterpillar India Pvt. Ltd awards engineers of CGC Landran with the first position nationally

To achieve excellence in the field of research and innovation, the engineers of CGC Landran designed a digger crane for a national level competition organized by Caterpillar India Pvt. Ltd in Chennai and achieved first position amongst 70 teams of mechanical engineering students who participated from various colleges across India. S.R krishanan, HR ManagerCaterpillar and Mr. Shekhar Murugeshan, Operations Manager Caterpillar awarded the students with the winning trophies and certificates.Lalit Saini, the captain upon sharing information about the Digger crane said, heavy duty machine making company Caterpillar India Private Limited had organized the competition with students from across the nation participating actively. He said that,’ in the first round we were asked to prepare a model of the original project and create a contraption based project within two hours, our project was ready and the judges had checked our project at each step that made us stand victorious in the competition. Our team comprised of 4 students of mechanical- sudhir kumar, Divjot, Navpreet Singh along with me. With a 180 degree rotation, the specialty of our crane is that it only needs to be commanded once and not at every step.Setting a historic record the students of CGC Landran were appreciated by Satnam Singh Sandhu Chairman, Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal President CGC Landran said, ‘A student who goes beyond academic knowledge and grows his idea into a successful project always sets benchmarks for other to follow. We are extremely proud of our students and will give our best to their project and support them in whatever way possible.’
