CCTV cameras to be installed in major Bus Stands

To ensure safety of women, CCTV cameras would be installed in all the major Bus stands of the State besides opening of ATMs for which HRTC would take up the matter with the banks this month itself. This was decided in a meeting of Board of Directors (BoD) chaired by Transport Minister Shri G.S. Bali, here today. It was also decided to install Flood lights in major bus stands of the State. Apart from this, Bids have been floated to purchase 800 buses under Jawahar Lal Urban Renewal Mission (JNURM).It was decided in the meeting that an independent office of Bus Stand Management Authority (BSMA) would be made functional from Tutikandi Bus stand besides State of the Art Skill Training Institute would also be opened at Inter-State Bus Terminal (ISBT), Tutikandi and the accommodation for housing the same would be provided by BSMA.Principal Secretary, Transport, Sh. K. Sanjaymurthy, Managing Director, Dr. R.N.Batta and other senior officers of the corporation were present on the occasion.
