Terming the Indian attitude towards Kashmir dispute as unethical, senior Hurriyat leader and Jammu Kashmir National Front chairman, Nayeem Ahmad Khan today said unless and until New Delhi changes its outlook, there can be no ending to the bloodshed in Kashmir and the dream of stable south Asia cannot be fulfilled.Nayeem Khan was addressing people at Narbal, Kawoosa, in Budgam district before Friday prayers. He said that blame of every murder in Kashmir lies on India as it has left the Kashmir dispute lingering since seven decades and created a political anarchy in the region. In a statement issued to KNS, he said that men in uniform recently massacred more than twelve unarmed civilians in the valley compelling our youth to hit the roads. Nayeem Khan said that even peaceful protests are not allowed in the disputed region which has further escalated the anger in youth.Nayeem Khan said that cold blooded murders of unarmed civilians are a blot on the face of India and its so called democracy. It is due to stubborn approach of New Delhi that our youth have been pushed to wall and some of them have resorted to gun and majority of them have decided to hit the streets. “Who else than Indian should be blamed for ruining the disputed region by army, para-military forces and police because it is New Delhi which is not ready to resolve the political dispute of Kashmir once for all,” Nayeem Khan said.

Nayeem Khan further said that India and its local collaborators using men in uniform have spread a reign of terror in nook and corner of Kashmir and hundreds of our youngsters and brothers are languishing in jails facing fake and fabricated charges. They have been using infamous Public Safety Act (PSA) as a weapon to crush the voices and make people of Kashmir to surrender their political demands.Nayeem Khan said that forces personnel have been directed to crush the people who dare to raise vices against continuous oppression, suppression and state terrorism. The people of Kashmir are only demanding the implementation of the resolutions passed in the UNSC so that they can decide about their political future in a free and fair manner. However, New Delhi despite a signatory to the said resolutions has adopted a way of imperialism, is not even willing to hear about the said resolutions. This has created a situation where youth are on the forefront and they have decided take it on with India.Strongly condemning the detention of several students, Nayeem Khan said that student community has been pushed to wall so they see protests as their last substitute.Later, Nayeem Khan visited the residence of Shaheed Adil Ahmad Sheikh, in Check Kawoosa, who was martyred at the hands of forces on April 9, this year. Nayeem Khan expressed solidarity with the bereaved family and assured them that their son’s sacrifice will be safeguarded at any cost. (KNS)
