Punjab Revenue & Public Relations Minister Bikram Singh Majithia today dared PPCC President Partap Singh Bajwa to contest ensuing Lok Sabha election to check his political credibility in his home district and said that Rahul Gandhi by running from his projection as Prime Ministerial candidate and Bajwa from his own Gurdaspur Parliamentary constituency have proved that Congress was a fast sinking boat.Addressing an impressive gathering here after inaugurating Rs. 97 lac Sub-Tehsil office and Patwar workstation, Mr. Majithia said that Congress party’s senior leadership was fully aware from the imminent drubbing in ensuing Lok Sabha elections and were now taking Rajya Sabha route to reach Delhi. He said that the same Congress party which was often clean sweeps the Lok Sabha elections and remained in power about 55 years since the country got freedom 65 years ago was now struggling to touch half century mark. He also challenged Union Minister of State for Health & Family Welfare Mrs. Santosh Chaudhary, who was representing Hoshiarpur Lok Sabha constituency, to name a single project she got approved for state or her own constituency. He asked Punjab congress leaders to do something concrete for their state rather pleasing their political masters in Delhi. He said that UPA government’s last two terms coupled with bad economic policies resulted in unprecedented inflation, a never ending list of mega Scams and total neglect of a common man’s interest further taking country to the brink of disaster. He said that after 10 years lackluster governance of Congress led UPA government, the electorates of the country were raring to go to inflict most humiliating defeat to anti people congress party to bring a stable and decisive NDA regime led by Mr. Narendra Modi.

Mr. Majithia said that Punjab with creation of world class infrastructure, unique governance reforms, power surplus and best air and road connectivity has emerged as most preferred destination for investment and grand success of Progressive Punjab Investors’ summit and Agriculture Summit was a witness to state government’s concerted efforts. He said that SAD-BJP combine would contest Lok Sabha elections on its development agenda and the intelligent electorates of state would ensure the alliance land sliding victory on all 13 Lok Sabha seats of the state. Mr. Majithia said that Congress propaganda regarding State’s financial health was nothing more than its hallucination and the financial health of state could only be gauged from Rs. 400 crore infrastructure creation projects going on war footing in Revenue department only. He said these projects include constrction of DACs, SDM/Tehsil Complexes, Sub-tehsil offices, Patwar workstations and computerized fard Kendras. He informed that the National Land Records Modernization Program (NLRMP) has taken the Punjab Land Records Society (PLRS) under its ambit keeping in view exemplary work of computerization of land records done by State and by covering 12823 out of total 13004 villages it has made 163 out of 167 computerized Fard Kendras operational.

Later interacting with media person, Mr. Majithia said that Congress has no agenda for going to voters for Lok Sabha elections and in its desperation making accusations against Akali leaders. He said that Congress always tried to use central agencies especially CBI to set political score with its opponents and regional parties were always remained on its list.Prominent amongst others, who spoke on the occasion included Mrs. Mohinder Kaur Josh, Chief Parliamentary Secretary, Mr. Surinder Singh Bhulewal Raathan, MLA, Mr. Arvinder Singh Rasoolpur and Zila Parishad Chairman Mr. Sarbjot Singh Sabhi.
