Former union minister and senior Congress leader, Prof Saifuddin Soz Wednesday said that all right-thinking people in India will reject with contempt Mukul Rohatgi, the Attorney General of India’s statement over using a man as human shield in Kashmir. In a statement issued to KNS, Soz said, “All right-thinking people in India will reject with contempt Mukul Rohatgi, the Attorney General of India’s backing of some Army Jawan’s action of using a youth - Farooq Ahmad Dar as a Human Shield on 9th of April, 2017, at Budgam.”“Rohatgi was appointed as Attorney General during the current dispensation at the centre and his obnoxious statement shows the danger that the current dispensation can pose to the institutions of public importance,” he said. Soz said that Rohatgi has displayed his perversion by calling the Human Shield action by some Army Jawans as a ‘Smart-Thing’. “His perversion led him further to an extreme absurdity when he hailed the Army for doing the great job,” he added.“It is high time that a lawyer approaches the court of law in Kashmir, backed by Kashmir Bar Association and lodges a proper suit against the Attorney General of India and Subramanian Swamy, MP (Raj Sabha) for their rabidly sectarian outlook and extremely unpalatable remarks which go against the letter and spirit of the Constitution of India which enshrines the provision of Human Rights and protects the rights of an Individual, as a citizen of India,” Soz said.Senior Congress leader said that needless to mention it here that Subramanian Swamy, who is a fresh convert to the RSS ideology, had made a condemnable remark that Kashmiris should be settled in Tamil Naidu as refugees. “One can imagine what kind of a man had received part of his education at Harvard,” he added.
