To strengthen the mental abilities of the students, Dr. Savita and her team from Mount Abu interacted with the students of Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh and shared their views on “Value and Moral education”, "How to increase Concentration", "Reduce Depression", "Stress management" etc during an interactive session held for B.Tech, MBA, BBA, BCA, B.Com, LL.B, BA-LL.B, GNM, ANM, B.Sc (Agri), BA, Diploma etc.Dr. Savita, Chief of Brahma Kumaris from Mount Abu while interacting with the students laid emphasis on the need and importance of value and moral education in an individual’s life. She said that in today’s hectic & chaotic world, everyone is, in one or other way searching for a sense of satisfaction and contentment in life. Today education in human and moral values has been disregarded and largely considered irrelevant as preparation for Excellence in life.Dr. Savita further said that four pillars of education have been identifies i.e learning to know, Learning to do, Learning to be and Learning to live together. The first pillar requires intellectual ability, the second pillar demands acquisition of skills and the third and fourth pillars requires inculcation of values and spirituality.Madam Chanchal Jatana and Dr Rama, Incharges Rajpura while speaking said that we come across with two types of people in our life, one who always follows the good path and the other who participate in criminal activities. Unfortunately the list of second category of people is long hence we should try to bring these people on the path of goodness by recognizing our power.Various tips and methods to be adopted in daily life to improve self confidence, stress management, improve and strengthen concentration, reduce depression etc were also told to the students.The speakers further urged the students and teachers to work for promoting peace, health, harmony and happiness in self and society through practice of spiritual knowledge, meditation and universal values.Prof B.S. Sidhu, Registrar, Aryans Group of Colleges while thanking felt the need of the teachings and education about the benefits of meditation and mindfulness in today’s hectic world; Promote and support healthy living through proper diet and positive mental health for all of us.
