National conference at Indo Global Colleges under the theme Towards a Sustainable Corruption Free Future

Indo Global Colleges of Education organized an ICSSR sponsored National Conference under the theme Towards a Sustainable Corruption Free Future. The conference focused on the need of ensuring a corruption Free Future so that both progress and sustainability can be ensured. The conference was attended by educators, teachers and research scholars from different parts of the region.  Welcoming the delegates and Guests Chairman Indo Global Sukhdev Singla threw light on the objectives of the conference.The conference was inaugurated by Dr B.C. Josan, Principal, D.A.V. College, Sector 10, Chandigarh  who emphasized the need of reverting to the rich ethical and moral heritage of India to fight corruption in our society. He also emphasized that climate change is regarded as biggest threat to sustainability but such a future cannot be thought of with corruption.Prof. B.S Ghuman guest of honor of the event gave information about concept of corruption and detailed the types of corruption. 

Keynote Speaker Prof S.L.Sharma, Director, Institute for Development and Communication, Chandigarh, said that the desired change has to be bought at individual level and be the change you wish to see in others. Talking on Role of Teacher in fighting corruption he informed that  teacher has to be  a role model  practising what he is preaching, only then the student will listen to him.Teachers are the real reformers and hence they should focus on emotional, spiritual and financial integrity. He stressed that as future national builders students should be enlightened in their classrooms and to create change.Applauding the efforts of the organizers, Manav Singla, CEO, Indo Global Colleges said that conferences are effective forums for discussions and bringing at one platform the best brains of the field. But such conferences are successful if the findings and outcomes are adopted in lives.
