A meeting of Committee on Petitions of Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly was held today under the Chairmanship of Choudhary Sukhnandan Kumar.Threadbare discussion was held on a reply submitted by the Home Department of a Petition given by Sharda Devi Wd/o Late Rajinder Kumar R/o Village Kothi, P/o Garhi, Tehsil and District Udhampur regarding appointment under SRO-43.Principal Secretary, Home R K Goyal briefed the Committee about the factual position of the case and said that main reason for delaying job under SRO-43 to the petitioner was due to confusion of names of the petitioner.He said that the relaxation in the age and qualification of petitioner will be considered to settle the case accordingly.The Committee was satisfied by the reply given by the Principal Secretary Home.Legislators, Jeevan Lal, Noor Mohammad Sheikh, Gulzar Ahmed Wani, Pawan Kumar Gupta and Anjum Fazili were also present in the meeting.Among others, senior officers of Home Department and Assembly Secretariat were also present in the occasion.
