The first look of "Thor: Ragnarok" shows Chris Hemsworth with a dramatic makeover. He sports a modern buzz cut with dark hair instead of Thor's signature shoulder length blonde locks as seen in the previous five films. The actor says losing the signature look felt "like a rebirth for me as the actor but also as the character".Hemsworth will be reprising his role as a Norse god for the sixth time in the forthcoming Marvel film. In the photographs published by ew.com, the 33-year-old sports the new look. In the past, Hemsworth has been seen sporting long flowing gold hair, which he secures back in a half ponytail. In fact, it not clear whether he is wearing his signature red cape in the first look, and has ditched his hammer for two swords in the first look.

Talking about his new look in the third part of "Thor", Hemsworth said: "It was nice not to have to sit in the make-up chair for that hour each morning."Hemsworth will also be joined in the movie by Oscar-winning actress Cate Blanchett, who is seen sporting messy jet black hair and heavy eye make-up for her character -- Goddess of Death, Hela "Thor: Ragnarok" is directed by Taika Waititi and also stars Idris Elba, Tom Hiddelston, Mark Ruffalo, Anthony Hopkins, Jeff Goldblum and Tessa Thompson, among others. The movie will release in India on November 3. Waititi said: "I think sometimes people mistake a tonal shift as ‘We're just going to make some ridiculous broad comedy where no one gives a s**t what happens and everyone gets stoned and sits around talking about saving the universe'. "We want people to care what happens and care that the hero succeeds. I think tonally it's like a slight shift. I don't feel nervous -- I feel good about it."
