Accidents and mishaps keep happening on the sets which often leads to slight chaos on set. But what happens when the lead actress’s saree catches fire!? Well, Aditi Sharma who is currently essaying the role of Gangaa in &TV’s socio-drama Gangaa recently met with such an unavoidable accident where her saree caught fire.The cast was shooting for an upcoming sequence of Mahashivratri Pooja and that’s when this incident took place. While shooting for the sequence which was set at a temple decorated with diya (lamps), Aditi got a little too close to the burning diya and as a result, her saree caught fire.This incident created a lot of panic on the sets and the shoot was halted for a while. The situation was under control in no time as the production crew had fire extinguishers present on the sets which helped them to put off the fire quickly.Luckily there was no injury to the actress nor anyone else from the crew.Talking about the incident Aditi Sharma says, “I believe it was Lord Shiva’s blessings on me that I dint get burnt or injure myself severely. We were shooting for a Pooja sequence and my pallu caught fire. I didn’t notice it as I was in the middle of the shot. This incident did teach a lesson to be more alert and careful while we shoot for bigger sequence on special occasions. Luckily the director spotted it and the production team came to my rescue. I am glad we have all the required safety equipment’s on the set and no one got injured.”Well we must say Kuddos to Aditi Sharma for managing the situation so well.Tune into Gangaa from Monday to Friday at 8:30pm only on &TV.
