Aam Aadmi Party(AAP) today alleged that fearing humiliating defeat in Punjab assembly elections, the SAD-BJP alliance has extended tacit support to Congress candidates on many seats where AAP candidates have emerged stronger than Congress candidates and SAD or BJP candidates have lost ground..Gurpreet Singh Wariach AAP state convener today in a statement said that SAD-BJP leaders have openly came in support of Congress candidate in Kharar where AAP dialogue Committee convener Kanwar Sandhu is surely winning the seat. The SAD-BJP alliance has fielded a weak candidate Ranjit Singh Gill against Jagmohan Singh Kang of Congress. The support by SAD and BJP leaders to Kang is even reported in the media(clipping attached). He said that Kharar is one of the many seats where trend has been noticed. Congress is also reciprocating SAD gesture to save Badal family in their home constituencies, he added.
Wariach said that AAP national convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and state leaders of AAP had many times cautioned people of Punjab about the unholy nexus between SAD-BJP alliance and Congress. He said that basically, Badal family has compromised all democratic and moral values out of insecurity and seeing imminent defeat in the elections. He said that AAP was expecting to sweep on all seats due to strong sentiment against Badal family due to its open loot of state's resources and sacrilege of holy Guru Granth Sahib by the Akalis.Waraich said that Capt Amarinder Singh was contesting from Lambi only to save Parkash Singh Badal who is trailing behind from AAP candidate Jarnail Singh. Congress has also fielded Ravneet Bittu from Jalalabad to divide anti-Badal votes to help Sukhbir Badal who is scared of Bhagwant Mann of AAP. He said that the constituency of Davinder Ghubaya son of SAD MP Sher Singh Ghubaya was also changed by Congress from Jalalabad to Fazilika with stop division of Rai Sikhs votes. He however said that Rai Sikhs were fully supporting AAP.
Wariach said that six sitting MLAs of SAD had als joined Congress under the secret pact between SAD and Congress to create fake hype in favour of Congress. He said that it was well known that Congress had helped SAD by vacating three seats of Talwandi Sabo, Dguri and Moga and facilitated victory of SAD in bye-elections. Joginderpal Jain, Mohinderjit Singh Sidhu and Arvind Khanna, all close confidants of Capt Amarinder had resigned from Congress and all the three seats were won by SAD. Sukhbir Badal at that time wanted to attain majority in the house to shun dependence on BJP. He said that SAD,BJP and Congress were trying all illegal means to stop AAP from coming to power. He however said that people of Punjab were aware of tactics of Badal family and Capt Amarinder Singh and would not allow them to succeed. He appealed to people of Punjab to teach lesson to both these parties. He reiterated that AAP will probe all scams of Badal family and this is also the reason Badal family is colluding with Congress. He said that Congress is equally responsible for building drugs and illegal mining mafia. The leaders of both parties are partners in illegal businesses, he added.
