Riya Sharma, an NCC Cadet of Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri is to represent Punjab,Haryana,HP & Chandigarh on  Republic Day held at Delhi . Apart from winning a number of medals & prizes during Annual Training Camp , some of the cadets of CGC Jhanjeri were shortlisted for Republic Day parade to be held on 26.01.2017 in New Delhi. Riya Sharma is finally selected for this prestigious parade. In all 2070 NCC cadets from all over India participated in this camp. The selected cadets will participate in the Republic day parade on 26.01.2017. Riya Sharma will represent as the best cadet on behalf of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh  Directorate. Sunil Lanba, Chief of Naval Staff shared his own experience as an NCC cadet during his visit to this camp. He said that NCC has grown over the years and today it has become one of the most wonderful organizations of the country which is motivating our youth to be the model & disciplined citizens .Speaking about this  achievement , Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President CGC said that the students of CGC Jhanjeri are displaying their excellent talents in all fields. They have won remarkable prizes in academics, sports and cultural activities. Dr. G.D.Bansal, Director General CGC said that the NCC cadets of this college have won highest number of prizes during Annual Training Camp held at . Dr. Bansal added that the selection of our student as the best cadet of Punjab, Haryana, HP & Chandigarh is a matter of great pride.
