Accusing Punjab Cabinet Minister Bikram Majithia of running drug trade in Punjab, Aam Aadmi Party on Tuesday reiterated to send Majithia to jail after formation of AAP government in 2017. In a press statement, AAP Punjab Convener Gurpreet Singh Waraich and Legal Cell head, Himmat Singh Shergill said that everbody knows that Majithia is responsible for ruining an entire generation of Punjab by pushing them to drugs. People of Punjab are waiting to punish Majithia and Badals for the same in 2017.Challenging Majithia, Shergill said, “No matter who contests against you, you are bound to lose in upcoming elections”.  “For Majithia jail is the right place, not assembly. We'll make sure he finds himself in the right place after elections.” said Shergill.

Criticizing Sukhbir Badal for Amphibious bus Waraich said, “At a time when entire Punjab is suffering due to 10 years of organized loot and misrule of Badals, newspapers are splashed with the pictures of them picnicking. It's a cruel joke on the people of Punajb who are facing extreme hardship due to demonetization. It shows Badals have completely lost touch with the people of Punjab and their problems”. Commenting on Badals demanding Chandigarh should go to Punjab Waraich said that “Badal government has not raised a single issue in the interest of Punjab and Punjabis, now at the end of their misrule, they have raised this issue to misguide the people of state.”

Shergill said that SAD-BJP alliance have governments both in the state as well as at the centre. Whom arr they raising this demand to? If they are serious about it, all SAD ministers, including Harsimrat Kaur should first immediately resign as union ministers. On the issue of AAP leader Yamini Gomar resigning from party Waraich said that she was given a Lok Sabha ticket and she stood third in the contest. Assigning more responsibility to her, she was made member of the National Executive of the party. “Her own rise in the party contradicts his falsehood. She was demanding ticket to contest Vidhan Sabha elections. It seems not getting the ticket prompted her to do what she did.” said Waraich.Waraich said that Yamini Gomar has betrayed the cause of Dalits in the state. “It's a historic moment for the Dalits of the state that party has released dalit manifesto giving voice to their issues and concerns. For the first time any party has promised the chair of Deputy CM to the community.”He said that it is the first time that Dalits will get their due in the state. It is really sad and unfortunate that Yamini Gomar playing in the hands of the very forces that exploited and persecuted Dalits for centuries back stabbed the Dalits in their struggle to decisively defeat the oppressor class.
