Minister for Animal, Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries, Abdul Ghani Kohli today said the socio-economic transformation of all the three regions of JK is the priority of the government and it can be achieved by transforming the developmental scenario at the ground level.“Many developmental projects have been launched by the government to ensure development of all the regions and change is already visible on the ground,” the said while speaking at a Public Grievances Redressal camp organized at Ranthel in Kalakote to redress the issues of people on the spot.Kohli said the Government is fully aware of the problems and issues of the people and steps are being taken to mitigate them in shortest possible time.Addressing the people, the Minister said a fully developed and prosperous J&K is the goal of the present government and it is moving ahead with great zeal and energy to achieve the target. He said there is no dearth of funding as the central government is extending full cooperation in the developmental process.Terming demonetization a historic decision taken by the Prime Minister, Kohli said it will definitely prove useful in checking corruption in the country. 

The Minister also took stock of the infrastructural and developmental needs of the area. He was apprised of the problems being faced by people including stalled road projects, drinking water shortage in various villages, flood protection works, land protection work in sinking and sliding prone areas, disbursement of pending wages under MGNREGA, awareness camps through horticulture, agriculture and other allied departments, improvement of interior road network, payment of land compensation to owners of land acquired for construction of various roads and others. The Minister gave a patient hearing to the demands of the people and asked the concerned officers to make all possible efforts to redress the same.Additional Deputy Commissioner Mumtaz Choudhary, SDM Kalakote Khalid Majeed, District Sheep Husbandry officer Dr Sarfaraz Naseem, concerned senior officers and large number of people were present in the camp.
