Pak violates ceasefire in Rajouri sectors: Army

Pakistan army on Saturday violated ceasefire by targeting several Indian posts and civilian areas along the LoC in Nowshera and Sunderbani sectors of Rajouri district.An army spokesman said the Pakistan Army fired mortars and used small arms fire against India which was retaliated “effectively” by Indian soldiers. The firing in Sunderbani is the second ceasefire violation by the Pakistani side in less than six hours, reports said.Earlier today, said the army, Pakistan Army resorted to “unprovoked ceasefire violation” in Nowshera sector from 1030 hours using 120 mm mortars and small arms fire. “Our army gave a befitting response to Pakistani fire,” the army spokesman said. He said there was no loss of life, injury or damage to property.“Pakistan Army resorted to ceasefire violation in Sunderbani sector using 120 mm mortars, automatic and small arms from 1410 hrs. Our troops gave a befitting response,” the army spokesman added.(GNS)
