Deputations calls on Chief Minister

A deputation of Gharagusaini in Banzar area of district Kullu led by Karan Singh, MLA called on Chief Minister, Shri Virbhadra Singh here today. The deputation requested the Chief Minister to open Degree College in public sector at Gharagusaini which would benefit the students of the area to get higher education at their doorstep. Assuring to fulfill their demand the Chief Minister said that Government was committed to provide higher and quality education to the youth of the State nearer to their home and many colleges were opened during current financial year at different places of the State, with educate funds for creating infrastructure. Another deputation from Karcham, Wangtoo, Urni, Chagawan, Yula area of Kinnaur district areas led by Shri Jagat Singh Negi, Deputy Speaker, Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha also met with the Chief Minister, Shri Virbhadra Singh at Vidhan Sabha. They urged the Chief Minister to get the people of the area compensated adequately who are effected due to works carried out by Jay Pee Company executing Karcham-Wangtoo Hydel Project in the district. Chief Minister assured the deputation that their demands would be sympathetically considered and the Government would take up their demand with the company.
