Bali Bhagat inaugurates multi-level parking at SSH

Minister for Health and Medical Education, Bali Bhagat today inaugurated first phase of  multi-level parking at Super Specialty Hospital (SSH), Jammu.The multi level parking to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 8.13, over an area of 3850 sqm would provide parking facility for 300 vehicles.In the first phase, the construction has been completed for basement, while 3 more floors would be constructed in future which would have two vehicle lifts one passenger lift and three stair cases for the convenience of patients and visitors.Felicitating the visitors, patient attendants and hospital administration, Bali Bhagat said that government has various plans to create high end facilities to showcase Jammu as a modern city.“Recreational parks, landscaping, view points, toilet blocks, fencing, illumination, drinking water,  modern type multi-storied parking slots near the health institutions  are being developed to give a new modern look to the city” he said.

Listing various projects taken up under Health, R&B, PHE, Tourism and Education sectors across the state, he said focus is being laid to ensure equitable development of every area.The Minister said that intake capacity of government Hospitals has been increased to cater to the patients from the peripheral areas. “Improvement of healthcare infrastructure and facilities especially in the rural and far flung areas has been accorded high priority and adequate funds are being sanctioned for the purpose” he added. He said that the pressure on secondary and territory care hospitals would decrease when rural healthcare institutions are upgraded and modernized to cater to the requirements of the patients.Mr. Bali also directed the executive agency R&B to further speed up the pace of work on the project for its early completion. He directed for ensuring use of quality material in the project.Medical Superintendents of Government Medical College, Super Specialty Hospital, SMGS Hospital, Administrator GMC, besides senior doctors and engineers were present on the occasion.
