Stating that they will boycott meeting with the All Party Delegation scheduled to visit Kashmir on Sunday, All Party Sikh Coordination Committee (APSCC) on Saturday said since the Government of India (GoI) failed to fulfill the demands of Kashmiris, meeting with the delegation won’t bear any fruit. APSCC Chairman, Jagmohan Singh Raina, while addressing a presser here said “after assurances by the Home Minister, Rajnath Singh that the use of pellet guns will be soon ended but unfortunately, after passing more than a week, the use of pellet guns continue to maim unarmed protesters in Kashmir,”He said that they would have been ready to meet the delegation if the use of pellet guns could have been stopped. Appealing Government of India (GoI) to initiate talks with the separatist leaders, Singh said, “The visit and dialogue without separatist leaders won’t bear any fruit. All stakeholders including separatist should be invited.” He said that the GoI should follow the path of former Prime Minister and senior BJP leader, Atal Bihari Vajpayee to resolve the Kashmir issue. “Vajpayee also held talks with separatists and even with Pakistan as well. If they (GoI) is serious over resolving the issue then should follow the path of Vajpayee and should initiate talks with all the stake holders of Kashmir,” he said.Singh said that they will also take part in the dialogue only after the separatist leaders will be invited.
