Deputy Commissioner Ravi Bhagat today said that there is a need to help and motivate the students and youngsters to study well and succeed in life so that they can also contribute in nation building. Bhagat said this while launching "Our Mentors" programme developed by "English Learns World" today. Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Miss Apneet Riyait, District Education Officer (Senior Secondary) Mrs Paramjit Kaur Chahal, District Public Relations Officer Mr Prabhdeep Singh Nathowal, besides several others were also present on the occasion.Under this "Our Mentors" programme, interviews of prominent people from different walks of life have been recorded. These personalities include Cricketer Harbhajan Singh, Actor Rana Ranbir, Music Director Tejwant Kittu, DC Ravi Bhagat, Economist Dr Sardara Singh Johl, Poet Dr Surjit Patar, Singer Saleem, Social Worker Baba Balbir Singh Seechewal, Painter Sikandar, besides others. These interviews programmes have been prepared jointly by Amandeep Singh, Teacher, Government High School, Mundian Kalan and Balwinder Singh, Teacher, Government Middle School, Saiyan Kalan.

While congratulating the Education Department after two of their teachers prepared this innovative and good programme, Mr Ravi Bhagat said that efforts should be made for motivating and helping our students and youngsters to succeed in life. He said that it also becomes the duty of students and youngsters to learn from the lives of prominent people of society as well as from senior officers. Mrs Paramjit Kaur Chahal said that she is proud of both the teachers, who have prepared this programme for the benefit of students. On this occasion, Amandeep Singh and Balwinder Singh said that this programme has been prepared so that the students and youngsters learn from our role models in life. They informed that all these interviews have also been made available on the Youtube channel of English Learns World.
