In separate meetings, Mr. Babu Singh and Mr. Abdul Gani Vakil, former Ministers, met Governor N.N. Vohra at the Raj Bhavan here today.Mr. Singh apprised the Governor about his views on the present unrest in the State and appealed for the constitution of a high level probe into the recent events, pellet gun injuries and related problems. He also appealed to the Governor to intercede and create ground for ending the ongoing unrest and finding a just and permanent solution of the Kashmir issue.Mr. Vakil briefed the Governor about the obtaining situation in the Sopore region and stressed the need for urgent intervention by the Governor to restore normalcy.The Governor expressed serious concern about the continuing cycle of violence and agreed that urgent initiatives are necessary for finding a sustainable solution. He urged both the political leaders to vigorously continue their initiatives for the return of peace.
