Bar Council of India (BCI), New Delhi has given approval to Aryans Group of Colleges, Banur, Near Chandigarh to start 3 years LL.B and 5 years BA-LL.B course from the session 2016-17 while Punjabi University, Patiala has already given affiliation to Aryans College of Law for the academic session 2016-17. Punjab Government has also issued the notification today for the admissions in law Vide letter No. 30/10/2010-6Edu.1/808559/1 dated 1/8/2016.BCI has allotted 120 seats each in LL.B (3 years) and BA-LL.B (5 Years) in the session 2016-17 for Law College. These seats would be filled on the basis of 2nd online counseling being conducted by GNDU, Amritsar. Interested students can call on 098762-99888 or 98765-99888 or visit www.aryans.edu.in.The applicants in Punjab under Law course are more than the available seats. As per GNDU, Amritsar, 2277 candidates have appeared in Merit list under 5 Years BA-LLB Program whereas 1446 candidates have appeared under 3 years LLB program in Punjab. 

Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges said that this year only over 7000-8000 students have shown interest for the legal education near Chandigarh while the seats available in Chandigarh periphery are just around 1000-1200.Kataria further added, “Keeping in view the interest of the students in the course and non availability of Law institutions in the Chandigarh periphery, Aryans has decided to start Law College from the session of 2016-17.Prof. V.P. Mangotra, Principal, Aryans College of Law said that there are a plethora of opportunities for a law graduate. One can either practice as an advocate in a court of law or work with corporate firms. By clearing exams conducted by Public Service Commissions, a law graduate can become a judge. After gaining experience, a law graduate can hope to become Solicitor General, a Public Prosecutor or offer services to government departments and ministries. One can also work as a legal adviser, teaching in Colleges for various organizations.Prof. B.S Sidhu, Registrar, Aryans Group while giving more information said that students interested in making a career in law can either do a three-year law course after graduation in any discipline or a 5 years course after 12th class.
