Accusing Akali Government for slapping ‘false & politically motivated cases’ against several people, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) today announced providing of free legal aid to such people for which party’s legal Cell Chief Himmat Singh Shergill launched a special HELPLINE Number.This was announced by the Shergill after taking the first meeting of the newly constituted legal cell here.Sensing humiliating defeat in the forthcoming assembly polls, Akalis have become frustrated and started slapping false cases against AAP’s volunteers and supporters by misusing the government machineries, Shergill alleged appealing people not to bow down under any kind of pressure from Akalis, as AAP would stand by them in providing them legal aid.“We know it that poor target sections of Akalis are unable to bear the expenses on legal cases to defend themselves and now they don’t have to worry for it, as AAP’s strong legal Cell would be there to help them”, he added.

Aam Aadmi party will have a battery of lawyers from booth level to parliament zone level said shergill.Shergill further said that over 80% members of the legal fraternity in Punjab are with AAP and whenever any revolution has come in India or in any  part of the world it was the lawyers who played a pivotal role.It was also agreed in the meeting  of the legal cell of AAP will provide free legal aid to  poor people who cannot afford legal expenses and also to  those people who have been victimized by Badals, Bikram Majithia, Badals' Ministers and Halqa Incharges appointed by Badals.Shergill revealed that legal cell of AAP that the legal cell will start with a big campaign of legal awakening amongst people of Punjab. In this campaign people will be made aware of their legal rights.Shergill also announced that any aggrieved persons could Contact AAP on the Special HELPLINE Number, email, sms number and Ahatsapp number, which wouldl be made available to people in case of their victimization by leaders of the ruling party.
