Minister of State for Education, Tourism & Culture, Priya Sethi, has lauded corporate initiative in promoting female literacy, saying the effort will go a long way in implementing Prime Minister’s Narendra Modi’s Mega programme “Beti Bachao-Beti Padao”.“In this part of the country, where presence of corporate sector is limited, such initiatives are laudable”, the Minister said while inaugurating a musical night held in connection with Beti Bachao-Beti Padao scheme in Jammu.Priya Sethi hoped that the programme will help in achieving the objectives set by Prime Minister in reaching out to the vast majority of girl population and sensitizing the society regarding the issue. She said educating girl will enable the nation to reach   ultimate goal of achieving overall empowerment and emancipation of the people in length and breadth of the country. In a state like Jammu and Kashmir, the Minister said such a mega initiative will further supplement Modi’s efforts of transforming the overall status of women largely.
