Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) J&K, Mr. Shantmanu today reviewed the preparedness for the upcoming bye-elections in Anantnag assembly constituency.The meeting was attended by District Election Officer, Additional District Development Commissioner, RO, AEROs besides other Nodal Officers.On the occasion, the District Election Officer briefed the meeting about the preparations made by the administration for the upcoming bye-elections, scheduled on June 19.He informed the meeting that adequate arrangements will be put in place at all the designated places involved with the election process including polling booths, nodal offices and counting halls.He said that police and transport authorities have already formulated a plan for the polling day and efficient officers and trainers having polling experience have already been assigned their duties.CEO, on the occasion, directed the officers to formulate a comprehensive plan so that things go according to the timeline and as per the directions of Election Commission of India.He said that RO and AEROs should put extra efforts to make the bye-election a success with no scope of error.
