The sports festival was Tuesday organized by Jammu and Kashmir scouts and guides association, Jammu and Kashmir peace foundation and Tang soo do association here at historical Amar Singh College.The two union ministers, Najma Heptulla Union minister for minority affairs, Shripad Yesso Naik Union Minister for Ayush flew from New Delhi participated in the event as chief guest and guest of honor. Deputy Chief Minister Jammu and Kashmir Dr Nirmal Singh accompanied was also present on the occasion. Besides Dr. Nirmal Singh, Sat Sharma, MLA Rajesh Gupta was also taken part of event. While welcoming the Union ministers, Deputy Chief Minister and renowned personalities the chief Commissioner of Jammu and Kashmir Scouts and guides, Khwaja Farooq Renzu Shah in a statement issued to KNS, said that for last three decades Jammu and Kashmir scouts and guides has played vital role in promoting souls and sports activities in the state.
He said that today's demonstration by Abida Baba who has received certificate of honor from Union Minister on the occasion for best demonstration has proved that our scouts and guides apart proving excellence in IAS/KAS and other professional exams and competitive can prove their talent in martial art as well.The master of the Tang Soo Do Davinder Gour was also appreciated. The chairman of peace foundation Fayaz Ahmad Bhat has also played big role along with Jammu and Kashmir scouts to promote the mental capabilities and sports capabilities of youths.In his speech Fayaz Ahmad Bhat also expressed his thanks to union Ministers, Deputy Chief Minister, Sat Sharma and other dignities for participation in the programme.On the occasion Najma Heptulla while appreciating J&K scouts and guides, Peace foundation and Tang soo do for organizing such a extra ordinary martial art event in which thousands of youths and students have participated for morning to evening is indication of the fact that this valley has great potential of proving its mental in all postive fields of life.
The union minister of Ayush Shripad Yesso Naik while complementing Khawaja Farooq Renzu Shah and Fayaz ahmad Bhat for organizing such magnanimous event said that Ayush will also play its role in development activities in the state so that best talented youth of the state get opportunities in different fields of life.The Deputy chief Minister of state Dr Nirmal Singh said that organizing such a great sports activity particularly in heritage Amar Singh college of srinagar city proves that youths are more in client to prove their talent in compitative field. He said that inspite of this college which has suffered during floods has been able to combine to promote peace activities. He assured that organized that their sports oriented activities will be further encouraged.On this occasion the Principal Amar Singh College Mohd Aslam Baba said that the IAS Topper shah faesal and Amir Shafi was the product of this college and the present successful sports and scouts festival held with such a large participation of youth will definitely help the entire Jammu and Kashmir to prove its worth in worldwide sports commutation as well.
