Highlighting the achievements in various fields by Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi led government at the Centre, the Deputy Chief Minister, Dr. Nirmal Singh today said the path-breaking initiatives taken by the NDA Government at the centre are going to catapult India as one of the influential powers globally.He said Prime Minister gave a vision to the country to make it one of the economic power houses in the world.The Deputy Chief Minster was speaking at a function ‘Mera Desh Badal Raha Hai, Aage Bad Raha Hai,’ organized by Songs and Drama Division of the Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in collaboration with the Directorate of Field Publicity and Exhibition Wing at Government Higher Secondary School Kothibagh here on the eve of completion of two years of the Narendra Modi-led government.Legislators, Satpal Sharma, Surinder Amarbadar, Ashok Koul, Yudveer Sethi, Additional Director General, PIB, Mrs Bharti Vaid, were also present on the occasion.Dr Singh said the Modi-led government has achieved various milestones in two years, which was a dream for other regimes. 

He said several initiatives have been undertaken which would ensure that the economic profile of the country gets a boost besides the avenues of the employability have also been created for the millions of youth though the ‘Skill India Initiative.’“Schemes like MUDRA, have also been introduced which would provide the much needed soft loans to the skilled youth so that entrepreneurship avenues, besides several landmark schemes like Jan Dan Yojna, Kissan Bhima Yojna, Atal Bhima Yojna, Beti Bachoa Beti Padao, Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) have also been undertaken which would be having far reaching impact on all aspects of life,” he said.The Deputy Chief Minister asked the people, especially the youth of Jammu and Kashmir to come forward and avail benefits of various schemes for their betterment. He said such programs should be organized across the State, so that the requisite awareness is created among the people about the good work done by the central government besides also creating awareness about various historic programs.Legislators including Satpal Sharma, Surinder Amarbadar, Ashok Koul, also spoke on the occasion and highlighted the two year achievements of PM Modi government. On the occasion, a colorful cultural programme was also presented.
