Centre has no plans to revoke AFSPA in Kashmir

The Central government Wednesday said that it has no plans to revoke AFSPA from Jammu and Kashmir and Northeastern states.Replying to a question in Rajya Sabha, Minister of State for Home Affairs Haribhai Parathibhai Chaudhary said that government has no plans to revoke AFSPA."No, sir," Chaudhary said in reply to a written question by PDP Rajya Sabha MP Nazir Ahmed Laway about revocation of AFSPA from Jammu and Kashmir and Northeastern states.Chaudhary also said the government has not received any information from its sources about conducive atmosphere prevailing in the states for lifting AFSPA. (KNS)
