P.S. Negi Loktus today presented his book titled 'Cultural Heritage of Trans-Himalaya (Kinnaur) to Governor Acharya Devvrat at Raj Bhawan. This book is about the study recording and documentation done of the cultural heritage-both tangible and intangible of the trans-Himalayan Kinnaur. The Governor appreciating the efforts of the writer said that the reader would definitely value the architectural designs of the houses and monuments, cultural artifacts, heritage sites and oral traditions which in most cases remain esoteric. Acclaiming the hard work by the writer, he said ''the documentation of the  cultural heritage, particularly of the Shu-Republic of the trans-Himalayan Kinnaur had been done by the author with the objective of initiating the conservation measures by the people themselves and by the governments before the ancient culture heritage of the trans Himalaya faces any loss."Shri P.S. Negi, who is a retired IAS, said that the focus of the study was the Shu-Republic that was the rule of deity which maintains law and order and runs the development and welfare administration within the territorial jurisdiction of the deity. He said that it was remarkable which, since the time-immemorial had not come in conflict with the monarchy, panchayati raj and law of the State.
