Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Dr Asgar Hassan Samoon  Tuesday convened a meeting with industrial unit holders with regard to pending liabilities and other issues faced by the new unit holders.The meeting was attended by Chief Engineer R&B Satish Razdan, Chief Engineer I&FC Javed Jaffar, General Manager SICOP Waseem Dar, Director RDD Tasaduq  Jeelani, Superintendent Engineer PDD Hashmat Qazi, Director Industries and Commerce Kashmir Nazim Khan besides  unit holders of SICOP.The unit holders raised the issue of pending liabilities before various Departments while the Divisional Commissioner discussed the clearance of legitimate outstanding dues of suffering units of the valley. 

Samoon sought the reasons of liabilities and also discussed the action plan to reimburse the pending liabilities.Samoon directed the officials to project their updated liabilities towards unit holders or SICOP within a day so that further action be taken for reimbursing the liabilities.The meeting also discussed about streamlining and rationalizing of marketing to SSI sector through SICOP. The unit holders also discussed with Divisional Commissioner the ways to centralize the requisitions of respective divisions/offices in respect of their requisitions of identical industrial products and place the orders thereof directly with SICOP along with requisite funds.
