Accusing the Public Health Engineering (PHE) department for failing to ignore their plights, the residents of Khansahab areas of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district here have demanded immediate redressal of their genuine grievances.The locals while talking to KNS said that water pipes supplying water to the several areas including Frestiwar, Shalnar, Frestlab, Kuidragan, and Arwayi got damaged due to the landslide triggered by heavy rains in past week.The residents told KNS that since the date, the areas are facing acute water scarcity. “With the non-availability of water in the areas, people in the area are facing immense hardships. 

Despite reminders, the PHE authorities have failed to restore an adequate water supply,’ locals told KNS.Inhabitants said that the authorities from past seven days have failed to restore the pipeline, which leaves hundreds of residents to suffer.The residents told KNS that PHE department has left them on god’s mercy. “Nobody is paying heed to our sufferings. We are not getting drinking water from last seven days thereby are facing tremendous hardships,” they said.Ali Muhammad, a resident of Khansahab said, “Authorities have failed redress the genuine grievances of inhabitants as from past week they are not getting water supply thereby leaving them to lurch at large,” they said.They later appealed higher ups to look into the matter and redress the genuine grievances of people.
