District Industries Centre, Samba today organized one day awareness camp under Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) at Diani, Samba.Krishan Lal, General Manager, DIC, Samba informed the participants about various activities (Manufacturing/Service) covered under the PMEGP alongwith eligibility criteria and other schemes/incentives being available to the entrepreneur from the Industries and Commerce Department. Surinder Singh, General Manager, NABARD, Veer Ji Koul, LDM, Samba also gave detailed resume of various activities/programmes of NABARD and role of banks in employment generation.The participants were also given information about various self employment generation schemes available with the Employment, Handloom, Handicraft departments, SC, ST/OBC Development Corporation. The camp was also attended by Dr. Vikram Sharma, AD Employment, Monika Thapa, BDO, Samba, Sarpanches, Panches and prominent locals of the area.
